1. Effect and acceptance

Proceeding with sign-in after reviewing these terms and the Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, do not use the service. The Operator keeps these terms available on a public page.

2. Service nature and scope

The Review Article Workbench is a private workspace for each account for planning, writing, reviewing, and correcting review articles using published literature and materials the user may lawfully use. It may support literature discovery, critical appraisal, qualitative and quantitative synthesis, meta-analysis, and review visualization.

The service is not for designing or conducting a new primary study, collecting original data from research participants, or producing an original research article.

3. Eligibility and project access

  • People aged 14 or older may register with a Google account whose email has been verified. Registration creates a personal workspace isolated from other users.
  • Projects are accessible only to their owning account. Invitations, cross-account membership and public sharing are disabled.
  • Administrators can issue usernames and passwords and handle resets and recovery. Multiple people may use a shared account; history identifies the account and browser session, not individual authors. Multiple devices may remain signed in. Logout ends the current session; a reset or suspension ends all sessions.
  • Users must provide accurate information, secure their sign-in method, and promptly report unauthorized use.
  • Linking another provider must be initiated by the signed-in user; accounts are not merged automatically based only on an email address.

4. User materials and intellectual property

Users retain their rights in materials they author or upload and represent that they may lawfully access and use every uploaded or linked item and submit it for the requested service processing. The Operator may store, reproduce, transform, index, and analyze it only as needed to provide requested features. This permission does not include any right to publish, sell, or redistribute the material.

Sources, reported licenses and review status are recorded separately from private processing permissions. Unreviewed material may be read, indexed, analyzed by external AI and used for writing within its account, without asserting verified permission. The service does not guarantee the lawfulness of third-party sources including Sci-Hub. Exporting a manuscript does not grant public distribution rights for source text, figures or tables. Users must comply with copyright, privacy, confidentiality, and research-ethics obligations and must not upload sensitive or identifiable original participant data.

5. Limits of AI and literature information

AI suggestions, literature metadata, effect-size calculations, and generated language are drafts for review; accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and publication suitability are not guaranteed. Users must verify primary sources, citations, numbers, copyright, research ethics, and final wording. Results are not legal, medical, or research-ethics advice.

User uploads and Zotero imports are not used for the review-quality corpus, model training, benchmarks, or evaluation rubrics. Guidance from the administrator corpus does not guarantee publication or acceptance by a journal.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Unauthorized access to another person’s account or project.
  • Malware, excessive automated traffic, security bypass, or service disruption.
  • Uploading illegal, rights-infringing, or unauthorized personal data.
  • Bypassing a paywall or technical protection, or sharing institutional credentials.
  • Bulk uploading or redistributing full text without authority.
  • Using the service to recruit participants or collect original data for a new primary study.
  • Presenting unverified AI output as actual literature content or a confirmed research result.

7. Free operation and payment

The service is currently free and does not offer paid checkout or coin purchases. Before introducing paid features, the Operator will disclose prices, refund/withdrawal terms, business information, and updated terms and obtain any required separate consent. No charge is imposed without prior consent.

8. Changes and interruption

Features may be changed or temporarily interrupted for security, maintenance, changes in law/provider policy, or unavoidable operational reasons. Predictable material changes will be announced with reasonable notice; urgent security action may be announced promptly afterward.

9. Restrictions and account termination

If a user violates these terms or law, or threatens service security, access may be limited as necessary with notice of the reason and appeal method. Immediate restriction may precede notice when an urgent risk exists. Users may request account deletion by email.

10. Rights-infringement reports and action

A rights holder may request removal or restriction by sending the identified material, its location in the service, the basis of the claimed right, and contact information to the legal contact. The Operator may temporarily restrict or remove reasonably identified material and notify the uploader. The uploader may respond with evidence of lawful authority. Repeated infringement may result in upload or account restrictions.

11. Responsibility

The Operator makes reasonable efforts to provide a stable service. Given its free operation, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a specific research purpose, third-party/publisher information, and acceptance or publication of user work are not guaranteed. Nothing excludes intentional or gross negligence or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first attempt good-faith consultation; unresolved disputes are submitted to the competent court under Korean civil-procedure law.

13. Changes and contact

The effective date and material changes will be posted here in advance. Adverse or rights-affecting changes receive reasonable separate notice and renewed consent where required. Contact [email protected].
